I'm planning on doing some short video tutorial-type-things, does anyone have anything in particular they'd like to see?  

Not that there's going to be anything that awe-inspiring or anything, I am lazy.  And not really the awe-inspiring type.  And, you know, it's not like I do anything that difficult.  Easy easy easy.

Anyway!  Is there anyone interested?  And are there any requests?  Like I said, I was thinking around five minutes each so the file size doesn't get humongonous.  If there's much interest I might do some longer ones later on, but I'm thinking that would kind of kill my bandwidth, so I might have to charge for them, and that kinda sucks...

So, in conclusion, I don't know.  Any thoughts?

I turned 24 today.  Also, I went to see PotC 2.  My first reaction?  "You BASTARDS."

Really, though, I think it was very good.  I think I might have even liked it better than the first.  Cliffhanger like whoa, though.

Monkey, who's four now, had been wanting to see it since I first started getting excited about it.  I warned her it was scary and long, but she didn't care and wanted to go anyway.

She was such a little stinker, I swear.  She was running off, hanging from things, and asking many, many questions.

Oh, and developing a crush on Orlando Bloom.  Kids.  

I thought he was pretty annoying.  The whipping was nice, though.

Monkey keeps calling Jack Sparrow my husband, which, though incredibly geeky and weird, is kind of pleasing.  She kept getting upset on my behalf whenever anything would happen to him.  I think she was about ready to crawl into the screen and bitch slap Elizabeth at one point.

A few moments later I kinda wanted to too.

Oh, and in the mail today I got some little 4x6 prints from dA of pictures I had done.  I only ordered them a few days ago, the shipping was very fast.  The quality is great, too.  They are so pretty, which sounds so completely egotistical, but OMG the colors, the colors!

So bright.  So pretty.

I had this moment where I was looking through them and couldn't believe they were something I had made.  They look that good.

I've got a few commissions to finish first, but I've got a couple of ideas for pictures I'd like to do sometime soon.  It seems like it's been a while since I've had time to vector for fun and I kinda miss it.

Hopefully after today this early midlife crisis I've been going through will be over.  It was so bad I was annoying myself.  Poor Annie who had to listen to me ramble.

1.  I grew up in the country and was 16 the first time I crossed a busy (ish) city street.  And I felt terribly brave doing it.
2.  I pace a lot.  I am ashamed of that fact and pretend to be doing something else whenever someone catches me doing it...  petting the nearest dog or rummaging under a couch cushion.
3.  I dance like no one is watching.  But only when no one is watching.
4.  Sometimes I have the paranoid feeling I'm actually a character on the most boring television show.  Ever.
5.  I love cryptozoology.  I also have boots with wooden big foot foot print cutouts that my dad made me.  I enjoying wearing them in the snow.  A lot.

New computer.  I've named him The Precious.  

At one point on the way home from the store I got so distracted staring into space and mentally drooling I forgot to blink.  Ow.

Now who all do I owe pictures..?  

Well, I still don't have a new computer.  My sister didn't have enough credit to get one a Compaq/HP credit card, so she applied for a few others and we're still waiting to hear back from them.  I'm really hoping for some good news soon.  

Right now I'm using my grandma's old computer that she loaned me.  It's Windows 98 with a 13 GB hardrive and 179 MB or RAM.  It came with 96, but I upgraded it as much as I could with what I had around the house.

It sucks.  Oh, god, how it sucks.

I can't get my copies of Freehand or Illustrator to work, but I'm looking into finding an older version of Freehand to play with (thank you, Annie!).  Maybe I'll have more art to show you soon.

I hope.  

Here is a list of what I've been doing:
1.  I ate an octopus.  The whole thing.  It was kind of like a small, strangely shaped rubber ball coated with spicy soup.  I got a dollar for it.  Is it bad I eat things for money?
2.  I both cut and dyed my hair.  It's kind of orangish brown. And I've got bangs and I actually like them.  D:!
3.  I totally got a big giant C-3PO Pez dispenser to add to my collection of all things Pez.  It talks and lights up.  Unfortunately my evil sister is making me wait until Christmas to play with it.  
4.  I finally saw The Corpse Bride.  I liked it, but it seemed somehow incomplete...
5.  I rearranged the stuff in my bedroom and reached the conclusion I have far too many books...  Or too few shelves.
6.  I've had about $20 worth of Pepsi to drink.  And still, no digital camera.  Bastards.
7.   I've worked on the plans for my doomsday device.  You know, just in case...

I think that's about it, really.

My mom asked me to donate a couple of signed prints and a couple of commissions to a fundraiser for an organization she helps run called Woman Aide.  She also suggested I have my portfolio and some business cards there for people to look at.

My portfolio is very out of date, though.  I need to have some of my newer stuff printed to put in there but I'm not sure what.  Any ideas?

I also have no business cards.    I think I need a logo.

I should have a logo design contest, I think.  

I should probably throw that mouse tail away before I forget where it is and it blends into the gray carpet where it's lost and forgotten until someday when I lay down there to nap (floors are comfy) and find it right beside my head or something.

I love Halloween.  It's my favorite holiday I don't get presents for.

My mom had a family party Saturday.  I was a witch.  I thought I looked pretty good, except my boobs kept trying to escape my dress.

This was bad for at least two reasons beside the obvious:
     1.  It was a family party.
     2.  The dress wasn't that low-cut.

It was however, quite tight around that region.  It was the dress part of my sister's renaissance-type costume from a few years ago, I'm not sure how she ever squeezed herself into it.

Damn boobies.

So...  what did you/are you going to do if anything?  I've got a busy night of devouring candy, watching horror movies, playing with my ouiji board, and hiding from trick-or-treaters ahead of me.

I had my heart set on an Evil Dead/Army of Darkness marathon, but I can't find my Evil Dead II.  Oh, sob.  I might just have to supplement it with some Bubba Ho Tep or something.

Two Arrested After Drill Teams Brawl
The Associated Press

WICHITA, KS -- One person required stitches and a mother and son were arrested after two drill teams began brawling during an impromptu "dance off," Wichita police said.

"This is a whole new arena" of crime, said Wichita police Lt. Jeff Easter.

The Dancing Steppers, a Wichita drill team, were practicing routines Saturday night when members of another drill team, the White Tigers, showed up and challenged the others to a "dance-off," police said.

When the challengers appeared to be losing, a woman struck a 17-year-old Dynamic Steppers drummer in the face with a drumstick, Easter said.

The teen, who had left the White Tigers to join the Dynamic Steppers, punched the 28-year-old woman in the face. He then ran toward his Ford Explorer and tried to run over spectators, witnesses told police.

The boy's mother, who is a Dynamic Steppers coach, grabbed a box cutter and sliced the other woman's right arm, Easter said. The wound required eight stitches.

An estimated 50 people became involved in the altercation, although only two were facing charges on Monday.

The mother was booked on suspicion of aggravated battery for cutting the other woman, Easter said, and the son faced charges of simple assault and aggravated assault. More charges are possible, police said.
