wow. this pic is awsome... ive just uploaded a pic myself i worked on thismorning.. no way near as good as this one... how do u make the skin look as real as you have, and the shadows, ive not grasped how to do that yet..well a little...

I just layer a whole lot of shapes set to 10-30 percent transparency and to multiply. It it's starting to get too dark, I'll group it all and lower it to 80% or so. That helps smooth out the shading a lot. I usually use at least a couple of different colors, too. On this I used the linework color and a medium reddish color to do the shading.
