Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes. Again.

Boy, that tree sucks.

Everything but the title and border done in Freehand. I'm not sure how long it took, several hours at the least... But that may be because I've been doing other things, too.

Thank you. :D I'm glad it seems Bright-Eyes-esque to you, that's what I was going for.

But I still say the tree sucks. :P

Ah the tree's not to bad. It's no worse then the trees I draw. It's quite a good image even if it didn't come out quite the way you wanted. The cloths details are quite impressive. However I would do more rendering on the face, grass, and tree but when it comes to colour images, I'm a whore for rendering.

Its the use of light and dark to show shapes. Rembrandt used it.

Very nice work, as always :D
The only critique I would have is the grass, it looks very low-detail compared to all the detailing you did on him. Then again, you would probably go crazy if you put details in the grass, right? :)

You're right about the grass, I may go add some shading later. As it is, I had a hard time convincing myself to even color it in the first place. :D Thanks! :hug:
